Artist's Comments

This is a picture...that is poor at best. It represents a friend of mine. Thus far, about 5 hours have gone into it. And doubtless, many more will. I'm going to look up tutorials on fur and such in a few moments. But it's complete enough to be a Deviation, rather than a scrap. I wanted to show it to people, and hopefully get some criticism for it.

WHen it is finished...I will put the finished piece here instead. But for now...here it is.

The colors are amazing...and my fur looks vaporial, misted, yet soft...stunning...

This looks really cool. I like the effects it has overall. And about the fur, I think it looks pretty good as is. If you want to get more "realistic" and more detailed fur, you could try making a hair brush. I normally open a document about 50x50px to start. new>50x50px>ONE px brush, make random spread dots around the entire image. Around 10-13 is normally good, then edit>define brush. Then all you need to do is select the brush from your list and turn down the size. You should get a really fine hair-like lines with it.
